Simple fried rice. My kids are super picky but I have found this to be a crowd favorite. 2 tbsp of olive oil 1 tbsp garlic, minced 2 cups of cooked brown rice - I use the instant packets from Trader Joe’s 2 Chinese sausages (you can use any meat - I used left over Christmas ham before) 2 eggs beat with milk, black pepper and kosher salt to taste Already shelled edamame from Trader Joe’s 1/2 tbsp of butter 2 tbsp Soy sauce Directions: Add olive oil to pan Add minced garlic until aromatic Add egg mix Once the egg begins to cook then start breaking it up like scrambled eggs Add meat and edamame Cook for a few minutes until meat and edamame are warmed Add rice and mix Add soy sauce (add more if you need to) Stir fry until all of it is blended Throw in the butter and mix well until completely melted Prep time is about 10 minutes Cook time is about 15 minutes
