We have some momprenuers in our community. A couple of moms got together and created what is widely known as Triple T. It’s this really great community on Facebook where moms in our local area sell their stuff. Pictures are posted and prices are negotiable. It’s a really great way to get high quality items for a really low cost from friends of friends of friends. To help provide as safe of a place as possible, you’re only allowed to be added to the group if you have a friend in the group. Complaints of members are immediately contacted and warned. Several complaints and you’re booted from the group.
Words of Wisdom
As with any other public site, proceed with caution! Be careful when providing your address and phone number to others. If you suspect strange behavior when meeting someone, report them immediately. Also, consider meeting at a public place.
Make sure you read the rules of each group and understand these rules. Admins don’t mess around on these sites because it’s a lot of work to keep up with everything. Do your best to abide by the rules and you’ll have a great time spending and selling items!
If you’re listing a used item, don’t expect to get more than 50% of what it is worth. Hot items which may get you more than 50% are outdoor play structures, Cozy Coupes, Little People, and similar items.
Post your items by season! Don’t try to sell your winter clothes during the winter.
Clothes usually don’t sell more than a few dollars and moms LOVE brand named items (e.g. Gap, Gymboree)
